As a Smartsheet user, the growth journey from project to portfolio management was abrupt. On the project side, Smartsheet offered simple tools while the portfolio abilities were extremely complex with nearly infinite configuration. But that power came with a huge learning curve, making it hard to pick up and see value quickly for use cases that weren't highly advanced. Our goal was to redesign essential portfolio management capabilities into the core Smartsheet experience, simplify template management, and offer an inspiring reporting, out of the box.
I led the design for the portfolio project list, wayfinding, sheet summary, out of the box experience, and portfolio reporting.
